Long time, no post!

I know, I know...I'm a total slacker. It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post. But there's good reason for it...kinda. Anyway, it's been crazy here. FireBoy has been sick, just went back to work yesterday. (I'm currently waiting for him to come home, so we can start the day!) And work...Oh my...work has been SLAMMED!! It seems like everyone in the area wants their party at my restaurant! It's insane!

So that's the short version of what's been going on here. In other news...We are starting to look for a house! I'm so excited. The thought of having our own place, our own kitchen, is just...wow. I can't wait to have a kitchen that I can cook in any time of the day, including my insomnia late night snacks, lol. We're hoping to have a house and be moved in by the end of August. So, fingers crossed, ok?

Today is going to be a good day. We get to spend the whole day just doing whatever! And, for the first time since I came back to RI, I'm going to pick up my camera, and take TONS of pictures! I can't wait. I miss my camera!

So, yeah...that's where we stand at the moment. I'm glad to be back! I can't wait to share all our house hunting-ness with y'all!

Teenage Takeover - 2nd Edition

It's time for another installment of Teenage Takeover where I take over Eimi's blog and share a little bit from the younger generation! :)

So, I was working on a really good post for this week's Teenage Takeover... but I'm going to have to keep you all on the edge of your seat for that one. I'm not done with it yet, and I want to talk to my Pastor about some of the stuff I included in it before I post it. Yes, you will have to wait for the next Teenage Takeover installment to read all about it. :) Sorry!

But for now, I will give you a sneak peak of what next weeks post will be all about. I recently heard this song and when I sat down and listened to the lyrics carefully I understood. I felt like this song was talking to me. The song is Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood. I have included the lyrics under the video so you can read and follow along as well. Make sure to come back next week for my next post which will be titled: Temporary vs. Eternal Home :) Enjoy.

I'm totally copying this from Supah, but she said it better then anyone can, this is just heartbreaking!

Suck ass if another little kid in this world wasn't just diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.

I am just beyond words and just so damn angry at the world. WHY WHY WHY:????

I'll put that aside for now and focus my energy instead on asking for your help my lovely lovely friends.

it's been dubbed.

Michelle, from Momma's Pixie Dreams. ( One of our OWN bloggy friends and someone that has loyally commented on my blog through the months) Felt a marble sized lump on her little monkey's neck last week. LAST WEEK. Sweet Monkey is 16months old.

SIXTEEN MONTHS OLD YOU GUYS.

I know.

I just cried too. Look at her. So sweet. She looks like MY BABY!

IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT.

Fast forward: It's neuroblastoma. Jaden's cancer and the cancer that stole Ethan's little life. STOLE IT.

I can barely type this out.

You pray for them as you have for jaden and for Ethan and his family. They need you.

Blog land of course is rallying to help them because #blogfia . THAT'S WHAT WE DO. There's no point in all of these connections, these followers, this notoriety- if you don't help someone in need. That's why we are so loved. Not because we write funny shit: but because we help. I know I"m not alone. I know that as soon as I hit PUBLISH... there will be people there to help. This .... this is why I blog.

If you can broadcast this story, tweet about it, facebook it and ask for prayers for them. They are literally stepping off into the unknown. WHEre the Duttines were in Sept, where the Loney's were in Sept.... this family is NOW.

1. there will be a fundraiser of some sort - details to come. It is being organized by this Dude- who is supah supah fab. DAILY DOSE OF REALITY'S " IAN" Follow him FOR UPDATES.

He is doing what I did in November. I JUST Want TO CRY for him. Because his heart is exactly like mine. He felt what I felt the day I saw Julie SCREAM OVER FACEBOOK;;

"My baby was just diagnosed with neuroblastoma!! we need a miracle!!"

I physically feel what he is feeling right now. . So I will do anything to help him make it easier so that this family- can have their lives just one moment easier.

They will need donations OF ALL KINDS FRIENDS.

Dont' have anything to donate?

Donate a guest spot on your blog- to your followers. Even if it goes for 5 bucks or whatever price is determined. IT IS FIVE BUCKS towards the mortgage of this families home. I cannot tell you how financially strapping this will be for them. It will be unreal.

Do you do a great MEme per week that draws a ton of people? Donate a guest spot on it. For example- post it note Tuesday I'll be giving up my blog for a day to someone who wants to WRITE MY NOTE.S 5 bucks? sold. I dont' care . IT will help them.

3. .You can provide a service. Do you design blogs? Do you offer birthday parties in your area for kids? Create Stationary?? make BLog Buttons?

If you can provide it- it can be sold. You can always drive your local fans over to the site to bid on it and get a great deal!

4. Do you have a business- that has product. That you can donate? THen do it.

To give much is to receive much. It will help! Every little bit will help.

5. Ad space. IS your blog big time ? Donate some ad space to another blogger for their business/ or even for their blog. We'll take it! For instance: my sidebar is exclusive for paying advertisers but I'll donate an ad spot to anyone who wants it .. for whatever amount.

Last: SHARE THIS and PRAY PRAY PRAY- or whatever you call it. I don't care. Just love this family and WILL this baby healthy. We can't ahve another Ethan.
